So you want to get membership to what can seem like quite exclusive clubs to those inexperienced in them. To be honest it really isn’t as difficult as you might think. You will have to be very professional in your approach to them and be prepared for a few knock backs. Take it on the chin and treat it as a numbers game. Getting into one CPA network will help you get into others.
1. Set up a simple blog that can be your corporate consultancy site.
Choose a business like theme and add in some blurb about your specialties. I suggest Google Adwords and SEO should be majored on. Ensure your FULL contact details are on there not just an email address.
2. Be prepared for a telephone call from the CPA Company.
Most will call you for a chat. Be ready for them, they will ask questions like how much you spend on advertising (the more the better but be realistic), what other networks you belong to, how successful you are online. Put yourself in their shoes they want to work with serious people so have those answers at the ready.
3. Make sure that you set up a professional answering machine message just in the event that you’re not at home when they call.
You can always change it back once you’re in!
4. Don’t just apply to one network go with several as some will just reject for seemingly no reason, but might take an age doing it!
So your best bet is to apply to a couple a day for a week. Doing that should see some results within a couple of weeks
5. Be confident, and do your homework on what may get asked!
Have those answers ready even written down handily so that you don’t dry up or go blank. I would also have a couple of intelligent questions to ask them, it can’t hurt and they will know you mean business.
Be consistent in applying and you will get in eventually to some great CPA networks. Good luck!
