Autoblogging is another way of building a blogging network to promote your website or product. Autoblogging is using RSS to post prewritten blog posts to multiple blogs automatically on a continuous basis. It can be a great way to assist you in building a large quantity of blogs without having to write every single post yourself. There are multiple sources of RSS feeds that you are allowed to use in order to add content to your blogs, a quick search on the web will provide you with an unlimited supply of free content. This is a great way to get your content on as many blogs of your own as possible, without the quality of each blog suffering. For example, if you write ten unique blog posts each day, you could take one blog post and post it to ten RSS fed blogs of yours instead of only one or two. Those 10 will still offer the reader a good amount of content, instead of just one post. Using this method, you could very quickly fill your blogs with a lot of content for the search engine spiders. The only concern here would be the duplicate content penalty from the search engines, but that can easily be avoided by using some of the free content rewriter plugins and software available across the web. The rewriters will subsitute different words for words in your blog posts automatically, thus changing the content of the post without losing the overall meaning and legibility of it. You can tune the rewriters so they work best for your specific format, you can even write your own word lists if you like.
Splogging is the extreme form of autoblogging. Basically, splogging is creating hundreds of RSS fed blogs without creating any of your own content to add to them. Do these kind of blogs do really well? No, they do not, but the idea behind splogging is quantity not quality. If you have one splog that makes a nickel each month, then a thousand blogs would make a thousand nickels, right? Sort of, it is not always so perfectly scalable, but many people use them to supplement their marketing income. Just beware that search engines hate splogs and use every trick in their arsenal in order to find them; once they find your blogs they will ban them from the search engines forever, and do everything they can to find the rest of your splogs too. So, if you do create splogs, do not be silly and use the same account to create all of them. A good Internet marketer will take advantage of all the different blogging methods; it would benefit you to do the same.
